The
State University of Campinas was established in 1966,
as a public university funded by the State of Sao Paulo.
Our mission is to provide education and training, qualifying
our students to play a key-role in the process of social
development. Unicamp seeks to contribute in the solution
of social problems, through education, research and
also through its services to the community Unicamp |

Technical High Schools of Campinas |
combines its youth to a strong experience in producing
new knowledge in virtually all areas. In effect, today,
the University concentrates 15% of the total scientific
production in the country and approximately 10% of the
graduate courses. 23.000 graduate students, 12.000 in
pos-graduation, scattered in 3 Campi. The University
grew with the rapidly expanding of the Companies around
Campinas and responded to the educational needs of the
developing Sao Paulo state. |
Unicamp
and Innovation
The
effort in Research and new technology studies provides
integration with high technology companies in the area
where the University is located. Unicamp is one of the
top research universities in the country, offering a
distinctive environment for the pursuit and expansion
of knowledge. |

Unicamp Campus |
During
the last three years, Unicamp had signed more than 270
new contracts with partners on services and productive
areas. Unicamp has many patents, most of them in Chemical
and Agribusiness. Many companies were born with initiatives
from former students, teachers and researchers.
Considering
the innovative role of Unicamp, a new unit was created.
It is the Agency for Innovation and its role is detailed
below.

objective is to encourage, promote, and facilitate the
relationship between Unicamp, the market to encourage
interdisciplinary research on various matters, education
and knowledge development. |
