Agência de Inovação Inova Unicamp promove, em parceria com a University of Florida Engineering Innovation Institute, o Workshop Educators Entrepreneurship, com Erik Sander. O curso será realizado em Inglês, de forma presencial, do dia 08 ao dia 12 de agosto. As inscrições são obrigatórias, gratuitas e limitadas! Serão oferecidas 40 vagas exclusivas para docentes e pesquisadores da Unicamp.

Devido à sua vasta experiência nas áreas de inovação e empreendedorismo, tanto em sua carreira privada quanto acadêmica, Erik Sander foi convidado a ministrar o curso para professores e pesquisadores acadêmicos da Unicamp interessados no tema de empreendedorismo.

Monday 8 August – Introduction to Entrepreneurship

09h00 – 09h45 – Workshop and Participant Introductions

Participants learn about the outline and objectives of the course, have a chance to meet each other, and ask any questions that they might have. Instructors hear from participants about what they want to get from the course.

09h45 – 10h30 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship Education

Participants get an overview of the primary course topics in entrepreneurship education that will be given throughout the week and how the information is structured for maximum impact to students.

10h30 – 10h45 – Networking Break

10h45 – 11h30 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Participants are introduced to the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurs have changed the world. Attributes and misconceptions of entrepreneurs are discussed.

11h30 – 12h00 – The Entrepreneurial Value Proposition

Participants hear about the most important element of an entrepreneurial venture – the Value Proposition.

12h00 – 13h30 – Team Working Lunch

Participants meet their team mates and discuss the Value Proposition of their individual entrepreneurial ideas.

13h30 – 14h30 – Building Your Business Model Canvas

Participants will hear about the Lean Launchpad approach to entrepreneurship education and how to build a Business Model Canvas.

14h30 – 15h15 – The Elevator Pitch and the Entrepreneurial Idea Overview

Participants learn about the Elevator Pitch, the Key Questions that all entrepreneurs must answer, and how those relate to the business plan.

15h15 – 16h00 – Crafting an Elevator Pitch

Participants meet with their team mates and agree on an entrepreneurial idea to pursue for the rest of the course and create an elevator pitch.

16h00 – 16h45 – Presentation of Team Elevator Pitches

Teams give their elevator pitch of their entrepreneurial idea.

16h45 – 17h00 – Conclusion for the Day and Lessons Learned

Participants discuss key learning outcomes; Instructors discuss the next day’s activities.

Tuesday 9 August - Creating the Entrepreneurial Opportunity

 

09h00 – 10h00 – Entrepreneurial Opportunity Analysis

Participants are introduced to a vetting process to challenge their own entrepreneurial ideas, which includes market assessment, competitive analysis, regulatory screening, financial screening, customer analysis, and other aspects of entrepreneurial opportunity feasibility analysis.

10h00 – 10h45 – Presenting the Opportunity

Participants are introduced to and exercise strategies and tactics in persuasively presenting their company value proposition, vision, and execution plan to investors and other stakeholders.

10h45 – 11h00 – Networking Break

11h00 – 12h00 – Guest Lecture: Presenting a Great Entrepreneurial Value Proposition

A guest lecturer will discuss what content and presentation styles work well for an entrepreneur when they present their Value Proposition, defined in this case as the market problem they’re solving, how their solution is unique or special, and how they’ll make money from service and/or product offerings that come from their solution.

12h00 – 13h00 – Mix-it-Up Lunch – Participants eat with members of other teams.

13h00 – 14h00 – Capital Raising and Valuation

Participants are introduced to the subjects of value creation for stakeholders (investors, executives, employees, customers, etc.), capturing that value through valuation models and equity, and raising funds.

14h00 – 14h30 – Discussion of the Investment Forum

Participants learn about the Investment Forum in preparation for raising funds for their company.

14h30 – 15h30 – Value Proposition Preparation

Companies prepare a Value Proposition presentation for their opportunity.

15h30 – 15h45 – Value Proposition Presentation and Investment Round

Participants present their team’s value proposition and raise funds for “company” growth.

16h45 – 17h00 – Conclusion for the Day and Lessons Learned

Participants discuss key learning outcomes; Instructors discuss the next day’s activities.

Wednesday 10 August - Defining the Entrepreneurial Opportunity

09h00 – 09h30 – The Mindset of the Entrepreneurial Leader

The entrepreneurial leader’s mindset, motivation, fears, and other attributes are studied to gain a better understanding of what drives an entrepreneur to success – or failure.

09h30 – 10h30 – Business Planning and the Business Plan

The process of business planning is discussed and the elements of a business plan and presentation are outlined.

10h30 – 10h45 – Networking Break

10h45 – 11h45 – Guest Lecture: Lessons Learned from Business Planning

A guest lecturer will discuss what they’ve learned from their experience in building and presenting business plans to investors and others. What are the most important elements that can mean success or failure in their plan.

11h45 – 13h00 – Investor Lunch – “Companies” meet with their “investors” over lunch.

13h00 – 14h00 – Guest Lecture: Market and Competitor Analysis

A guest lecturer will discuss effective techniques and resources, including primary and secondary research, in discovery of the market and competitors for entrepreneurial companies.

14h00 – 16h45 – Market and Competitor Analysis

Teams research their markets and competitors with instructor help.

16h45 – 17h00 – Conclusion for the Day and Lessons Learned

Participants discuss key learning outcomes; Instructors discuss the next day’s activities.

Thursday 11 August - Growing the Entrepreneurial Opportunity

09h00 – 10h00 – Guest Lecture: Planning for company growth

A guest lecturer will discuss the key elements that entrepreneurs need to consider early in company formation that will position it for growth such as how the company is structured, how intellectual property is protected, and how the company’s investment strategy is staged for growth.

10h00 – 12h00 – Business Plan Financials

The entrepreneurial Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Budgets, and Pro-formas are explored from a basic level.

12h00 – 13h00 – Growth Strategies Lunch

Teams discuss their company growth strategy.

13h00 – 14h00 – Guest Lecture: Intellectual Property Strategies and Management

A guest lecturer will explore strategies and tactics related to patents, copyrights, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets, and other forms of knowledge capture within the context of Brazil.

14h00 – 16h45 – Business Plan Presentation Preparation

Participants Prepare a Business Plan Presentation for presentation on the final day.

16h45 – 17h00 – Conclusion for the Day and Lessons Learned

Participants discuss key learning outcomes; Instructors discuss the next day’s activities.

Friday 12 August - Participant Presentations

09h00 – 11h00 – Company Final Presentation and Sale

Companies present their entrepreneurial opportunity developed during the course and investors “buy” their companies. Company founder and investor returns are calculated for all participants.

11h00 – 12h00 – Conclusion for the Course and Lessons Learned

Participants discuss key learning outcomes for the course.

12h00 – 13h00 – Closing Lunch – Celebration lunch.
